Alexandra Raisman

Aly Raisman, an American gymnast, was a member of both the Fierce 5 2012 and Final Five 2016 US Women's Olympic Gymnastics teams. Aly Raisman won three gold medals during the 2012 Olympics, in London. Additionally, she brought home a bronze on the balance beam. This meant that she became the first American to compete at an Olympics with the top number of medals. In the 2016 Olympics she was awarded an Olympic gold medal for the team event, which gave her as well as her teammate Gabby Douglas the distinction of having being the first Americans to win back-to-back gold medals for the team. Silver medals were awarded in the individual floor and all-around competitions. Following the 2nd Olympics, she stopped for three years gymnastics. Additionally, she was part of the gold medal winning American teams at the two World Championships. She began her gymnastics training at age 2 and loves exercises on the floor. Aly has a strong support for the Uniting Against Lung Cancer organization to honor her mother who died due to cancer. She is planning to pursue an occupation in fashion and hopes to broaden her signature line of leotards and socks in future. Fierce is a novel she's currently working on will be released sometime in the coming year.
